COVID-19 UPDATE
Covid has impacted the lives of children in hospitals tremendously. Sadly, Nicky's Nest has been closed down temporarily until we are COVID free and our cancer warriors are safe and sound.
We are so grateful to our very own Nicky's Nest dedicated Child Life Assistant, for bringing Nicky's Nest directly to their bedsides.
Thank you Brandi for keeping us updated and informed. We are so grateful to you for all you are doing for these children and for delivering smiles from Nicky's Nest directly to them personally!
Brandi has done wonderful things so far and has also created seasonal "Nicky's Nest Newletters".

In August 2019, the Nicholas Pedone Foundation gifted $94,000 to fund a dedicated Child Life Assistant to Nicky's Nest for 2 years! We know first hand the importance of Child Life and how special these individuals are. They are medical professionals who work with children and families and help them cope and understand the challenges of hospitalization, illness, procedures, testing etc. They help children understand on a child level what to expect. They love and play with the kids to ensure they are comfortable. They help parents and families and provide a loving environment. These children build a relationship and comfort with the Child Life Specialist and we are honored to be able to have 1 dedicated specifically to Nicky's Nest!
